Passing the Commercial Checkride
Would you like a more extensive ground school like the one seen in Flight Sim 200X? Then read Rod Machado's Private Pilot Handbook to learn more about flying that you ever thought possible in a fun and enjoyable way. Here are a few tips from a flight sim user and computer programmer named Bob Comyn (Rcomyn@aol.com) on passing the commercial checkride. I've condensed Bob's words into a single paragraph. 1. Passing the commercial checkride requires that you not make more than two errors in a given segment. This checkride, however, doesn't tell you about the errors unless you've made more than two. 2. You may have to fly the high-speed descent portion of the checkride with the gear down even though the examiner says to fly it with the gear up. I've been in contact with the great folks at Microsoft and we're working on a solution to the problem. Rod Machado |
