Greetings:
Welcome to my newest monthly newsletter for pilots of all types, from the student to the experienced professional. I receive so many requests for aviation information that I've decided that the Internet newsletter might be the very best way to keep my readers up-to-date on useful aviation safety information. In addition, I have several new pilot training products you might want to look at for educational purposes. If there's anything you'd like to see in this newsletter, please drop me a line. I'll be happy to consider your request.

Why Young People Should Learn to Fly
In a recent AOPA Pilot article, I wrote about several of the most important reasons that young people should be introduced to flight training. My intent was to provide readers with several arguments that might be useful in convincing parents that an investment in flight training for their children could pay off handsomely in terms of personal growth for these young people. I've received many requests for a reprint of this article. Click here to read it in its entirety. |

Rod Machado's Videos/Training Online Now!
If you'd like to Laugh & Learn, take a look at two of my live presentations given at AOPA Expo last year. The first is an educational program titled, "Yoke and Pedal: Techniques for Safe Flying." The second is, "Aviation Humor 2008." These videos are made available courtesy of AOPA and United Technologies. If you're an IFR pilot and would like to learn a little more about descending on a non-precision instrument approach, then take a look at my free presentation on PilotWorkshops.com. Download the presentation as an audio MP3 file and listen at your leisure. |

NEW! Rod Machado's Instrument Flying Handbook
By popular demand, now there's an instrument training book that provides all the information needed to pass the FAA instrument pilot knowledge exam, and helps keep an already-rated instrument pilot current. And it does all this in a educational and entertaining style. My new instrument flying handbook contains the latest information on LPV, LNAV/VNAV and LNAV approaches, instrument scanning, glass cockpit displays, weather, GPS navigation, FARs and much more. Read more about it and view chapter excerpts by clicking here. |
