Figure 1 in Chapter 6, located on page 6-3, should be larger (as shown below) so that the airplane's position relative to SLI VOR is clearly seen. This will be changed in the next update cycle.

Figure 4 in Chapter 6, located on page 6-6, has been changed. The picture below shows PRADO intersection on V-16. This will be changed in the next update cycle.

Figure 6 on page 5-5 has been updated as follows. The ADF needles were reversed in the original picture.

| The first paragraph on page 17-2 has been amended to read:
"...based airspace in existence, as shown in Figure 1. Within these areas, the controlled airspace begins at the airport’s surface. When you depart a tower controlled airport, you are usually given headings to fly or departure procedures to follow. If not, then use the recommended departure procedures that follow." The text in bold has replaced the previous text. I didn't want to give you the impression that departures from a tower controlled airport will always contain some type of safe departure procedure. Sometimes you have to treat these departures just as you would uncontrolled airport departures. You must decide how to depart safely since a tower controller won't always provide you these procedures. Figures 16 and 17 on Page 21-15 (Chapter 21 - Advanced Thunderstorm Avoidance) will change during the next book update. The figures below will be substituted as shown. They are better examples of base and composite reflectivity. This will be the new Figure 16 This will be the new Figure 17
