Chapter 16 Update
The material below has been updated. The changed material is shown in bold.
The caption on the bottom of Figure 8, Page P7 has been changed to read:

"A new reference point is chosen from which to measure the arm or distance of weight placement (section A). Called a datum line, both block Z and W produce a specific tilting force about the datum line as in section B. When the total moment about the datum line of both blocks (Z+W) is divided by the total weight of the blocks, the arm or center of gravity is found (section C). This new CG is located 10 feet past the datum or 5 feet past block Z (similar to block Q in Figure 7)."
